A
lift is used to direct or carry from a lower to a higher position.
A hydraulic lift allows
various components to be raised and/or lowered to various heights
for a specific application or process.
Careful Tips
- The lift needs
to be operated by authorized professionals in the use of hydraulic
lifts and the positioning vehicles on lifts.
- The "dead
stick" type controls should return to the neutral or "off"
position when released.
- The hydraulic pressure
should never exceed the recommended level.
The controls & equipments, pistons for dirt, damage and other
abnormal conditions need to be regularly inspected.
- The packing nuts
and surface bolts around cylinders on hydraulic hoists should
be checked.
- The the hoist should
be lubricated and checked for the tightness of fasteners.
- The bent arms,
cracks in welds or wear should be checked and damaged parts replaced
with the recommended ones.
- The lift area needs
to be clean and free of oil, tools, equipment, hoses, wires, etc.
- The weight of the
vehicle should not exceed the lift capacity.
- The lift should
not be used if it raises very quickly, jerks or jumps when raised,
slowly rises, either when in use or when not in use, comes down
very slowly, blows oil out of the exhaust line or leaks oil at
connections.
